Environmental Services
The Environmental Services Department oversees the collection and processing of garbage and recycling for Pompano Beach residents and businesses. Maintaining clean streets, parks, community centers and beaches is of great importance to the tourism industry, commercial growth and the quality of life enjoyed by our citizens. Helping residents practice good environmental stewardship, this department hosts bi-annual household hazardous waste collection events -- allowing for safe disposal of toxic items that should never be sent to the landfill. Environmental Services is further responsible for supporting many public events throughout the year and is always prepared to return the city to normalcy following weather emergencies or catastrophic occurrences.
