Q: Is parking always enforced on the beach?
A: Yes. Parking is enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. There is no beach parking allowed from 11pm to 6am.
Q: What parking app is enforced on Pompano Beach?
A: Pay by Phone or Passport Parking apps are used in Pompano Beach. You can download this app to any smartphone device.
Q: Are monthly parking permits available for non-residents?
A: Yes. Monthly hangtags can be purchased for $75.00 a month on a first come- first served basis. Parking overnight is only allowed in the Oceanside Lot. Call One Parking at 954-786-5580 for additional details.
Q: If I can’t find ADA parking, can I park anywhere with my ADA Placard?
A: No. You can park in any marked space for free for the first four (4) hours, then pay the hourly rate. Parking fee is enforced within parking garage.
Q: If I have marked disabled plates can I park anywhere?
A: No. You can park in any marked space in for free for the first four (4) hours, then pay the hourly rate. Parking fee is enforced within parking garage.
Q: If the parking pay station is broken, what do I do?
A: Please go to the nearest operating machine to complete your transaction. You can also download the parking app Passport Parking or Pay by Phone to complete your transaction. During normal business hours (8am-4:30pm) you can call One parking at 954-786-5580 to report any broken pay station.
Q: Can I park a tractor-trailer big rig in a residential zoned area?
A: No. Tractor-trailer rig parking is not allowed in residentially zoned areas. See Sec. 70.11 of our code of ordinances for more information. Penalty is $150 fine and tow away.
Q: Does beach parking fluctuate during the week?
A: Yes. Prices fluctuate between weekend and week days.
Q: Are there electric vehicle charging stations on the beach?
A: Yes. An electric vehicle charging station is adjacent to the Beach Lot on Pompano Beach Boulevard in Zone 3. Electric cars must still pay regular parking prices. There is also a nearby electric vehicle station in Harbor Village.
Q: If I purchase a water taxi ticket from the Visitors Center, do I receive discounted parking?
A: No.
Q: How can I pay my parking ticket?
A: Visit Pompano Beach Citation Payment Portal or in person at Pompano Beach Pompano Beach Parking Office, 3460 NE 3rd St, Pompano Beach, FL 33062
Q: What can I do if I don’t think I should have received a Parking Citation?
A: To Appeal: bring your citation to the office located at 3460 NE 3rd St., Pompano Beach, Florida. A copy of your driver’s license and a copy of your citation will be made, along with your contact information and an affidavit that will need to be filled out by you. This package will then be submitted to the city to be considered. If it is valid, you will receive a letter with an assigned court date to be heard and explain why you feel that you were wrongly cited.
Q: Are there any public parking garages on the beach?
A: Yes, there is a public parking garage at 3460 NE 3rd St., Pompano Beach, FL 33062. Public parking is permitted on Levels 2, 3, and 4 for an hourly rate.
Q: I have a large group coming for a wedding, family reunion, etc. Can I get discounted or free parking?
A: No, not on the barrier island along the beach.
Q: We are a non-profit organization. Can we get discounted or free parking?
A: Generally, No. You can request parking accommodations on application for the event permit, but discounted or free parking is not guaranteed.
Q: How do I use a Pay & Display Pay parking station?
A: The only Pay & Display parking is located at Alsdorf Park. All other stations are Pay-by-Plate with no need to display the receipt. To use the device, simply push any button to wake the device and follow the prompts on the screen.
Q: Where can buses, motor-homes, or other oversized vehicles park?
A: No oversized parking is available on the barrier island.
Q: Where can motorcycles park?
A: Motorcycles are not permitted to park in the garage but they are allowed to park in metered spaces on the barrier island. Each motorcycle must pay the hourly rate, no matter how many occupy a parking space.
Q: Where can I park overnight?
A: If on the barrier island, we sell overnight hang tags for the Oceanside lot between A1A and Riverside Drive, for $75 monthly. Otherwise,, there is no overnight parking on the barrier island.
Q: Can I park overnight with a monthly or resident parking permit?
A: No, for the residential permit, however, yes as described above with the purchase of a hang tag.
Q: What are the various Parking Zone locations?
A: Zone 1 – Hillsboro Inlet, Alsdorf Park, Oceanside lot and all west of A1A.
Zone 2 – Pier Garage and 16th Street North Ocean Park
Zone 3 – Beach Lot, Briny Ave., Pompano Beach Blvd.
Q: Who qualifies to purchase a resident permit?
A: Individuals with a physical Pompano Beach resident address.
Q: What documentation do I need to apply for a resident parking permit?
A: Along with the application, you will need a recent utility bill, tax bill, lease agreement, or your voter ID card as proof of Pompano Beach residency.
Q: Where can I park with a monthly or resident permit?
A: Oceanside Lot, 100 N. Riverside Drive Pompano Beach, FL 33062 from 6am-9pm. Outside of these hours, monthly and resident permit holders are subject to paying an hourly rate. To purchase a parking garage permit, please contact One Parking at 954-786-5580. Rooftop parking is $100/month, and parking on levels 2, 3, or 4 is $150/month.
