The Fisher Family Pier will be closed Tuesday, January 20 and Wednesday, January 21 for construction in preparation for the First Amphibious Landing Monument. Installation is expected within one week after construction concludes.

The Greater Pompano Beach Sister Cities International (GPBSCI) is a non-profit organization created to form international relationships with cities around the globe through cultivating cultural exchange, youth and education programs, economic partnerships and to provide municipal assistance. GPBSCI’s vision is geared towards creating municipal bonds that will increase volunteerism, citizen diplomacy and promote commercial ties. In achieving these goals GPBSCI will host events to encourage community involvement with functions that represent the Sister Cities relationships through social gatherings, artistic endeavors, tourism, business and cultural affairs.
