Our goal is to assist in the the development and redevelopment of a viable community which provides affordable housing, economic opportunity, and a safe living environment. This is carried out through a variety of programs and activities that focus on neighborhood revitalization, improved community facilities, services and economic development. All of our programs are funded entirely through state or federal grant programs. Fiscal Year 2026-2027 CDBG Request for Proposal Applications IS OPEN

The City of Pompano Beach Office of Housing and Urban Improvement is pleased to announce the opening of the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 CDBG Request for Proposal (RFP) process. Starting on February 19, 2026, we are welcoming applications from local Non-profits and City Jurisdictions dedicated to making a positive impact in our community.

Key Dates:

Application Period: February 19, 2026, 7:00 am- May 14, 2026, by 3:00 pm EST

Access Application: https://portal.neighborlysoftware.com/copbfl/Participant. Select “CDBG Grant” Option.

Submission Method: Electronic submission exclusively through Neighborly Software

Mandatory Meeting: All interested organizations must attend a MANDATORY MEETING on March 26, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers. The meeting includes oral presentations from organizations to the City’s Community Development Advisory Committee, a vital component of the application process.

OHUI Program Accomplishment Summary 2018-Present

Housing Rehabilitation Program - OPEN

The City of Pompano Beach, Office of Housing and Urban Improvement (OHUI) has officially OPENED its Housing Rehabilitation Program for low-income City residents seeking assistance through the Housing Rehabilitation and Emergency Repair Programs. The Housing Rehabilitation Program will remain open until the maximum number of applicants (200) has been reached or all funds have been expended. Emergency Rental Assistance Program- CLOSED September 18, 2023 6:00pm

The City of Pompano Beach Emergency Rental Assistance Program funded through the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (CDBG-CV) will CLOSE on Monday, September 18, 2023 at 6:00pm. Due to limited funding, the City of Pompano Beach is not able to accept new applications at this time. All clients who have an application in Neighborly prior to 9/18/23 at 6:00pm will continue to have access to their application once the portal closes.
