Solar Co-op
Switch Together Solar
The City of Pompano Beach is partnering with Solar United Neighbors and communities nationwide to make solar energy more accessible and affordable for residents. Switch Together is a group-buying program that helps homeowners save on rooftop solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle (EV) chargers by securing competitive prices from qualified installers.
The program supports Pompano Beach's commitment to sustainability by making it easier for residents to invest in renewable energy.
Switch Together also offers solar education through online resources and in-person events, ensuring that residents have the knowledge they need to make informed energy decisions. By participating, residents not only save money but also contribute to Pompano Beach's efforts to build a resilient and energy-efficient community.
How Switch Together Works
Switch Together organizes a reverse auction, where vetted solar installers compete to offer the best possible price. This ensures that participants receive high-quality solar at a lower cost. Additionally, residents may qualify for the 30% federal tax credit, making the transition to solar even more affordable.
