Grounds/Park Maintenance

The Grounds and Park Maintenance division's goal is to provide a safe and uniform landscape and irrigation maintenance program.

This division services 47 parks: 14 mini-parks; eight neighborhood parks; four community parks; 20 urban open spaces and the Canine Corner dog park. In addition, this division maintains 11 baseball, four softball, six football/soccer fields, and 21 playgrounds.

The over 25,000 trees in our City-wide inventory are being trimmed, fertilized and monitored for pests on a regularly scheduled basis.

The City Nursery, located at 1000 N.E. 3rd Avenue, procures plants and trees for installation City-wide. The nursery provides over 4,000 trees yearly to the residents of Pompano Beach at our tree give-away held in July.

The Grounds and Park Maintenance Division are driven to provide an enjoyable recreational experience to our citizens of Pompano Beach.
