Our community receives law enforcement services from the Broward Sheriff's Office, but the City is exploring whether to form a stand-alone city police department!
The City has engaged a team of outside consultants to evaluate the staffing, operational, and equipment needs of a city police department, as well as to estimate the cost of that transition.
The team has developed their initial estimates and are ready to present their findings.
Join us at an upcoming Community Meeting to:
- Learn about what a standalone city police department might look like
- Learn about other potential options for policing services.
- Ask questions about these options.
- Share your input as the City considers next steps
