New Broward County Uniform Building Permit Application (Nov 25, 2025)

The Broward County Board of Rules & Appeals (BORA) has released a new countywide Uniform Building Permit Application (revision date 11/14/2025).

The City of Pompano Beach is now accepting this new application form for all building permit submittals.

During a transition period, we will continue to accept the previous application form through December 31, 2025. After that date, only the new Uniform Building Permit Application will be accepted.

Key Changes on the New Application

1. Private Provider Indicator
   At the top of the form, applicants must now indicate whether the permit is associated with a Private Provider.

   • If “Yes” is selected, the required Notice to Building Official (Form 61G20-2.005-2002.01) must be included with the submittal.

2. License-Exempt Contractor Option and BTR Number
   In Section 3 (Contractor Information), contractors who are exempt from holding a state contractor’s license (for example, certain flooring, tree trimming, sealcoating, striping, sign erection, and paver installation work) may select the license-exempt option.

   • In these cases, the contractor must provide their Business Tax Receipt (BTR) number issued by their local municipality.
