About the CRA

Mission

The mission of the Pompano Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is to foster vibrant, economically thriving neighborhoods by eliminating conditions of slum and blight, supporting business growth, improving infrastructure, and enhancing the quality of life for residents, businesses, and visitors.

The Vision

Our vision is to create dynamic, attractive, and sustainable redevelopment districts where businesses prosper, residents enjoy safe and connected communities, and strategic public investment stimulates long-term private development and economic opportunity.

Purpose

The Pompano Beach CRA was established pursuant to Chapter 163, Part III, Florida Statutes, to guide and implement redevelopment activities within designated Community Redevelopment Areas. The CRA works in partnership with the City, residents, businesses, and stakeholders to encourage reinvestment, support housing and economic development initiatives, improve public infrastructure and amenities, and attract new opportunities that strengthen the local economy.

The CRA is funded through Tax Increment Financing (TIF), which allows increases in property values within the redevelopment area to be reinvested directly back into the community to support redevelopment projects and programs without increasing tax rates.

CRA Board Meetings

CRA Board Meetings are held monthly, in the City Hall Commission Chambers, 100 West Atlantic Boulevard, Pompano Beach, on the third Tuesday of each month beginning at 1:00 p.m. All meetings of the CRA are open to the public and can be watched live on Channel 78 or you can now watch on your computer with web streaming.
