The City of Pompano Beach is calling on residents to support local businesses while the essential construction for the McNab Road Streetscape Improvement and Bridge Replacement Project continues. This critical infrastructure initiative is completely revitalizing the McNab Road corridor from Federal Highway to S. Cypress Road including the bridge, creating a safer, more beautiful, and better-connected thoroughfare for us all. This was one of 25 projects funded by the G.O. Bond, a bold investment, which was overwhelmingly supported by voters to enhance infrastructure. While this work is absolutely vital to our City’s future, the construction activities—especially the bridge replacement—presents a temporary challenge for the small businesses that line the route.

As a community, this is our moment to come together. The City of Pompano Beach has launched a comprehensive marketing blitz to ensure everyone knows that every single business along McNab Road is fully open and ready for your patronage!

To keep these merchants top of mind, the City is launching a dedicated social media and email campaign featuring targeted advertising and inclusion in the City newsletter, which reaches more than 70,000 residents. In addition, custom signage is being installed along McNab Road to remind the public that businesses remain open throughout construction.

The brand-new, modern bridge schedule is being fast-tracked barring any sub-aqueous conflicts or weather delay to finish construction and open to traffic on October 1st. These new improvements are expected to help our local shop business to thrive.
