McNab Road Momentum
We are pleased to share substantial progress on the McNab Road Streetscape and Bridge Replacement Project, as the transformation shifts into high gear!
The bridge’s substructure is now complete, its superstructure and concrete deck are firmly in place, and crews are advancing steadily on the retaining walls and approaches following utility and concrete enhancements earlier in the year. Landscaping installation and preparations to activate the new LED roadway lighting are also currently underway, with final paving to follow.
Although South Florida’s unusually active 2026 rainy season brought over 90 days of rain since May, our dedicated teams have navigated these conditions with unwavering commitment to safety and quality. To sustain this momentum, the City is coordinating closely with contractors and engineering consultants to optimize remaining operations, including evaluating potential evening and weekend shifts while remaining considerate of nearby residents and businesses.
Made possible by the voter-approved 2018 "G.O. Pompano!" Bond program, this transformative investment will soon deliver elevated safety, improved pedestrian and bicycle accessibility, upgraded drainage and lighting, and strengthened connectivity along this vital corridor.
