Help Shape a More Resilient Pompano Beach

Our beautiful coastal City is planning ahead for the future, and your voice matters. The City of Pompano Beach is developing an Adaptation Plan for Flood Vulnerabilities to prepare for increased flooding, sea level rise, storm surge, and severe storms. The plan will identify where risks are growing, which assets are most vulnerable, and which actions can best protect our residents, infrastructure, and natural environment.

In February, we held our first meeting to introduce the Adaptation Plan process and gather community input on local conditions, flooding concerns, adaptation needs, and priorities.

At the second Public Outreach Meeting in November, the project team will present an overview of the draft plan, including identified adaptation needs and potential strategies ranging from drainage and stormwater improvements to nature-based solutions like enhanced shorelines, trees, and green spaces. Attendees will take part in interactive activities to help prioritize strategies, share local knowledge, and ask questions that will shape the final plan. If you are not available in person, there is a virtual link on the page, so you can watch from home.
