Temporary Closing of the Pines Golf Course for Re-grassing

1101 North Federal Highway

Thursday, March 16th

The City of Pompano Beach Pines Golf Course will be temporarily closed for re-grassing which involves many steps.

The first prep application will begin on March 16th. The golf course will close at 11:00 a.m. and will re-open at 6:45 a.m. on March 17th.

The second prep application will be on March 28th. The golf course will close at 11:00 a.m. and will re-open at 6:45 a.m. on March 29th.

On April 3rd, the actual re-grassing project will begin, which will provide an improved turf surface based on the growing conditions at this facility. This phase will also include rebuilding all the bunkers and increasing the size of the Par Three Tees (to minimize wear and tear). Re-opening will be weather dependent but is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

The Pines course, located at 1101 North Federal Highway, is one of two courses located at the City’s public golf course. The second course, The Palms Course, will remain open during the re-grassing.
