For the safety of residents and visitors, Pompano Beach’s public beach is currently closed to swimming due to sustained high winds, heavy surf, and dangerous rip current conditions. Double red flags are posted at all lifeguard stations to indicate that the water is closed to the public.

Surfing is allowed at this time; however, all participants are advised to exercise extreme caution.

Pompano Beach Ocean Rescue will continue to closely monitor conditions and will reassess when it is safe to reopen the beach for swimming.
