Pompano Beach Launches New Fishing Village Shuttle | Free Service to Alleviate Beach Parking Needs Following W Hotel Lot Closure

Friday, October 2nd

The City of Pompano Beach is expanding its free Ride Circuit service to make it easier to get to the beach. Beginning Friday, October 2nd, the new Fishing Village Shuttle will provide free, on-demand rides between the new service area and the Fisher Family Pier/beach, as well as two convenient Park & Ride locations for residents and visitors traveling from outside the designated zone. The new service area hours are Friday-Sunday and holidays, 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The new Fishing Village Shuttle is designed to help reduce parking demand near the beach and provide another convenient transportation option as the W Hotel parking lot closes. The service operates on demand and is intended for direct trips to and from the Fisher Family Pier/beach.

Residents and visitors within the new service area, shown in green on the service map, can request a ride from a residence or business directly to or from the beach.

For riders traveling from outside the new service area, two free Weekend Park & Ride locations will be available:

  • City Hall, 100 W. Atlantic Boulevard
  • Old Town parking lot, NE 2nd Street and NE 2nd Avenue

The public can park for free and request a Pompano Circuit ride directly to the Fisher Family Pier and beach. Park & Ride trips are direct rides between the designated lot and the beach.

To support the expanded service, the Pompano Circuit fleet includes three vehicles: one that accommodates up to five passengers, one that accommodates up to six passengers, and one that accommodates up to 15 passengers. Wheelchair-accessible service is available, and vehicles accommodate beach chairs, bags, coolers, and other beach-day items.

The City’s existing Circuit service will continue operating throughout its current service area, shown in blue on the service map. Riders can request a free ride through the Ride Circuit App, available through the App Store.
