Lighthouse Point Precautionary Boil Water Notification

Due to a water main break caused by a construction contractor, the City of Pompano Beach has issued a precautionary boil water notification for 125 of its Lighthouse Point water customers. The areas affected are NE 30th Court south to NE 28th Street along NE 23rd Avenue. NE 27th Court to NE 25th Street along NE 22nd Avenue. Please see attached map.

Water used for drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making ice cubes and tooth brushing - should be boiled for at least three minutes before use, or bottled water may be substituted for tap water for these uses. You may continue to use your water for bathing, lawn irrigation and other non-consumptive uses.

The boil water order will last for at least 48 hours. Doorhangers are being distributed to the affected areas. We will notify residents again when the precautionary boil water order has been lifted.

The City Utilities Department is also working in conjunction with Lighthouse Point officials and the Department of Environment Protection.
