Hurricane Season Kick-Off Event Featuring NWS Meteorologist Robert Molleda

The City of Pompano Beach is partnering with the National Weather Service to host the 2023 Hurricane Season Kick-Off Event on Wednesday, June 7th at 6:00 p.m. The Hurricane Season Kick-Off Event will be held in the City of Pompano Beach Commission Chambers located at 100 W. Atlantic Boulevard.

Free giveaways will be available to the first 75 people and everyone will have a chance to win great prizes.

The Hurricane Season Kick-Off Event will include a special presentation by the Miami/South Florida National Weather Service Warning Coordination Meteorologist Robert Molleda, a welcome from Mayor Rex Hardin, important information from the City’s Fire Chief and Emergency Management Division and useful tools the City offers to help you stay informed before, during and after a storm.

The Atlantic hurricane season is the period in a year, from June 1st through November 30th, when tropical or subtropical cyclones are most likely to form in the North Atlantic Ocean.
