The City of Pompano Beach is helping provide access to essential hygiene services through a new Shower Bus initiative, offering free showers to individuals experiencing homelessness, hardship, or limited access to hygiene facilities. The service will make its first scheduled stop on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the E. Pat Larkins Center, located at 520 NW 3rd Street.
In partnership with Showering Love, a South Florida-based nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring dignity, hope, and self-esteem to individuals experiencing homelessness, the mobile shower service will be available during Community Court.
Founded in 2016, Showering Love operates mobile shower facilities throughout South Florida and has provided more than 70,000 showers and supportive services to individuals and families in need.
The Shower Bus is planned to return on the first Thursday of each month, with the next visit anticipated for Thursday, December 3, 2026. Individuals are encouraged to check the City's website for confirmed dates at www.pompanobeachfl.gov/events/shower-bus.
