Facilities Maintenance and Operations

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to provide for the physical development and growth of the City and the community. The Department is committed to providing quality, sustainable facilities, and diligent oversight of all aspects of the physical environment. We will allocate our resources in a fair and equitable manner with flexibility to meet the needs of a dynamic, educational, and social environment. We will support and promote the current and future goals of the City of Pompano Beach through our departmental values and ethics of honesty, trust, responsibility, communication, professionalism, respect, and commitment."

The Facilities Maintenance Division provides maintenance, construction, janitorial, safety and fire suppression system support services for the City’s 110 facilities. These services include structural, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, roofing, physical security, and fire suppression systems.

Facilities Maintenance maintains approximately 1,285.000 square feet of various building space and performs over 4,000 work orders (2022) per year with a staff of 20 full time employees.
