Contractor Registration

New FEMA flood maps (or FIRMs) will become effective on July 31, 2024. The new maps reflect updated flooding conditions due to storm surge and wave action from coastal storms. To see how this new flood map may impact your property visit:

In order to be issued a Permit for any kind of licensed construction or alteration work within the City of Pompano Beach, every Contractor must have a copy of their License and Insurance information on record with our Business Tax Division.

If you hold a Broward County Competency Card, the following items must be submitted using our Contractor Registration Portal:

  • Broward County Certificate of Competency and State Registration (if applicable)
  • Liability and Worker’s Comp Insurance. The City of Pompano Beach must be the certificate holder (City of Pompano Beach, P.O. Drawer 1300, Pompano Beach, FL 33061)
  • Worker’s Comp Exemption (if applicable)

If you hold a State Certification, the following items must be submitted:

  • State Certification
  • Liability and Worker’s Comp Insurance, the City of Pompano Beach must be the certificate holder (City of Pompano Beach, P.O. Drawer 1300, Pompano Beach, FL 33061)
  • Worker’s Comp Exemption (if applicable)
