From the official ribbon-cutting ceremony and live music to dance samplers, theatrical previews, and history harvests, The Hive and Ali Cultural Arts Center will be buzzing with activity.

Throughout the day, guests can enjoy exciting giveaways, and advanced registrants will receive a complimentary goodie bag (one per person, while supplies last).       A special sneak peek for members of the press to explore The Hive before the official opening. Journalists and media partners will tour the venue, meet participating artists, and get an insider’s view of Pompano Beach’s newest cultural hub.

      10:00 – 10:45 AM │ FREE Tiny Tots Ballet Class (Ages 3–4) with Ashanti Cultural Arts
      Aspiring dancers explore the basics of creative dance with age-appropriate ballet movements and exercises. Props and playful movement games help introduce little ones to shape, form, and musicality.

      10:45 – 11:00 AM │ Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Kickoff | Blanche Ely High School Marching Band
      Pompano Beach’s most celebrated marching band, the Blanche Ely High School Marching Tigers, brings the energy and sets the tone for this milestone celebration.

      11:00 – 11:45 AM │ Ribbon Cutting Ceremony + Mural Dedication
      Mayor Rex Hardin, city officials, and community leaders officially cut the ribbon to open The Hive Black Box Theater. The ceremony also includes the dedication of the new mural, Rhythms of Legacy, designed by renowned Haitian-American artist Nathan “Nate Dee” Delinois—a vibrant work inspired by community voices that honors resilience, pride, and heritage.

      11:50 AM – 12:00 PM │ Official Opening of The Hive + Venue Tours | Featuring Brown’s Temple Church Choir
      Step inside The Hive for the first time, as uplifting music from Brown’s Temple Church Choir fills the space. Venue tours begin immediately after.

      12:00 – 1:00 PM │ Hip-Hop Dance Class with Ashanti Cultural Arts | Venue Tours Continue
      Young movers are invited to learn the basics of hip-hop dance in this high-energy class. Venue tours continue for guests exploring The Hive.

      1:15 – 1:30 PM │ The Big Bad Musical Theatrical Preview | Performed by Act to Succeed
      A lively preview of The Big Bad Musical, where fairy-tale characters put the Big Bad Wolf on trial—with audience participation and multiple endings.

        Join Rock Road Restoration Historical Group for The Gathering, a History Harvest dedicated to preserving the legacy of Pompano Beach’s Northwest Community. Residents are invited to bring photographs, documents, and artifacts to be scanned and recorded for future generations.

              A nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating and preserving African and African American culture through the arts. Through programs in dance, music, theater, and visual arts, Ashanti empowers individuals of all ages to connect with their heritage and express themselves creatively. The organization builds community, promotes cultural pride, and inspir4 lifelong learning through engaging performances, workshops, and educational initiatives.

              Be Eccentrich Inc.

              Founded in May 2018 and based in Pompano Beach, FL, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to using cultural arts to empower individuals and strengthen communities. Through programs in arts education, therapeutic art, and social advocacy—including affordable housing, recidivism reduction, and equity and inclusion—the organization inspires confidence, fosters uniqueness, and drives positive social change.

              Timothy Mark Davis

              A Carbonell Award-winning stage actor with screen credits including Apple TV+’s Bad Monkey, commercials for Rolex, Moe’s, and AAA, and multiple independent film projects. He has produced several short and microbudget feature films that have played at Tribeca Festival, Miami Film Festival, Heartland Film Festival, River Run Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival, and the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. He recently premiered his debut feature film, THANK YOU, PLACES! at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. He also serves as Producing Artistic Director of New City Players, a Broward-based theatre company staging classic and contemporary plays now entering their 10th season.

              The Round Table Project

              Based in Pompano Beach, Florida, was established in 2011 to provide high-quality cultural arts programming and live entertainment for communities, schools, organizations, and private events. The organization introduces the arts in innovative ways, cultivates cultural appreciation, and spreads creative expression. Its mission is to create a more loving world through understanding, compassion, and artistic freedom.

              T.M. Pride

              A versatile multidisciplinary performance artist with expertise in directing, choreography, creative direction, costume design, and film and commercial work. He offers services in performance (dance, acting, spoken word, voiceover) and creative production, and is dedicated to helping others realize their artistic vision or crafting one for them.

              Brévo Theatre

              Committed to enriching the community, sharing thought-provoking narratives, and fostering nurturing environments through the arts. By spotlighting emerging playwrights, actors, dancers, and directors and using color-blind casting, Brévo offers inclusive and diverse entertainment experiences.

              Felicia "Comedian Fefe" Frazier

              A native of Pompano Beach, FL, she is the former co-host of the nationally syndicated radio show, “The Soul Funny Radio Show” and winner of the “Laugh Factor” Competition & Queen of Clean competitions. Named the 2022 Creative Artist of the Year by the LOLGCA Christian Comedy Association. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre and 18 years of performing stand-up comedy.
