In this South Florida premiere, THE COLOR PURPLE is a powerful musical adaptation of Alice Walker’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel and the acclaimed 1985 Steven Spielberg film. This epic tale follows Celie, a young woman who endures unimaginable hardship, yet embarks on a profound personal journey over the course of 40 years. Her story of self-discovery, resilience, and empowerment is brought to life through a joyous and dynamic score blending jazz, ragtime, gospel, blues, and African music.
