Nicole Yarling defines what it means to have "homegrown harmony". Building bridges between music, education, and community, Yarling is a dynamic force in South Florida’s cultural landscape, hitting all the right notes! A Brooklyn-born violinist, vocalist, composer, and educator, she’s called South Florida home for over forty years. Nicole has received the Jazz Hero Award, been inducted into the South Florida Jazz Hall of Fame, and recognized as a top African American educator. Her passion shines through programs like Jazz Encounters and the Jazz Education Community Coalition, empowering young artists and expanding access to jazz. Now, she's bringing her soulful blend of rhythm and wisdom to our Living Room Concert Series where intimate vibes meet legendary talent!
Marlo Vashti is the kind of artist who makes you lean in and feel every word.
As a jazz vocalist with serious soul, and a poet, actress, and director, she’s redefining what it means to command a room. And lucky for us, that room is intimate. Join us at the Blanche Ely House Museum for a night of music that feels like it was made just for you.
Inspired by NPR’s Tiny Desk experience, this limited-seating concert puts you just feet away from Marlo’s rich vocals and magnetic presence. Come for the music, stay for the magic, Marlo’s got plenty to share.
This isn’t just any project...it’s The Harden Project, and they’re back by popular demand at our Living Room Concert Series! Ja’Nia Harden’s smooth vocals meet John Harden’s rich arrangements in a musical partnership that radiates soul and effortless chemistry. Influenced by icons like Ella Fitzgerald, Chaka Khan, and even Andre 3000, they blend funk and jazz into a sound that feels both classic and fresh. Their performances are less “sit and listen” and more of a “feel and flow” jam session. Expect moments of melodies filled with love. Secure your seat while they last!
