Drone Show Extravaganza
This year's Drone Show Extravaganza will feature a Pre-Show and a more spectacular Main Show with 400 drones! The theme will be patriotic, in honor of Veteran's Day, with a South Florida flair. Plan to get there early!
All eyes will be over the ocean, just south of the Pier, as Firefly Drone Shows light up the skies with a dramatically choreographed presentation of 400 brightly lit drones coordinated by world-class artists and engineers.
- 5:30 pm: Live entertainment begins (DJ and live band)
- 7:00 – 7:30 pm: Drone Show! (Pre-Show followed by Main Show)
- 7:30 pm: Live entertainment resumes
The Drone Show is free and open to the public. Our Pompano Beach Fisher Family Pier will be closed on November 9th for the event. Please gather on the south side of the Pier on the beach as the North side will be closed for drone staging.
The Drone Show can be seen for up to five miles with unobstructed views and agreeable weather conditions. Local restaurants and hotels will be offering specials, so contact your favorite spot for details!
Shuttle Service:
- We have increased the number of shuttles this year!
- Free shuttles will be provided by the City for transportation from Pompano Community Park located at 1660 NE 10th Street starting at 3:00 pm and ending at 10:30 pm.
- Shuttles are ADA accessible and will allow for coolers and lawn chairs.
Rideshare & Parking:
- Parking at the Pier Parking Garage will be $20 CASH ONLY. Additional lots and street metered parking will be the holiday rate of $4 per hour.
- Rideshare services may pick up and drop off at the Beach Branch Library located at 3250 NE 2nd Street.
- The Circuit On-Demand Shuttle will be available on the App until 5:30 pm and then flag down only from 5:30-11:00 pm.
Bridge & Street Closures:
- Riverside Drive will be closed from 14th Street to NE 2nd Street to local traffic only beginning at 2:00 pm and ending at 10:00 pm.
- Atlantic Boulevard and 14th St Causeway bridges will be locked in the down position from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Pedestrians will still be able to cross the bridge.

- Personal fireworks, glass containers, personal drones, alcohol, and pets are not permitted.
- Boats are welcome and must remain outside of the swim exclusion line buoys and drone safety zone.
- Blankets, lawn chairs, and coolers are welcome.
- Wheelchair accessibility is available via one of our six beach access mats.
