City of Pompano Beach and Broward Sheriff’s Office Host Gun Buyback Event to Promote Community Safety
The City of Pompano Beach and the Broward Sheriff’s Office are partnering to host a Gun Buyback event to reduce gun violence and promote safer neighborhoods throughout the community.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the E. Pat Larkins Community Center, located at 520 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.
Community members are encouraged to anonymously turn in unwanted firearms. No questions will be asked, no identification is required, and participants may receive gift cards valued up to $200 in exchange for surrendered firearms.
The initiative is designed to help remove unwanted guns from homes and streets while strengthening public safety efforts across the City.
