During routine maintenance being conducted today at the City’s water treatment plant, pressure in the system went down temporarily in areas of the SW and NW sections of the City, therefore out of an abundance of caution, the City of Pompano Beach is issuing a precautionary boil water notification.

4th of July Firework Extravaganza

Join the City of Pompano Beach Parks and Recreation Department on Monday, July 4 for our Annual 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza. The 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza will begin at 5:30 p.m. with live music from Shadow Creek Band, one of the most diverse bands in South Florida. Beginning at 7:00 p.m., the Derek Mack Band will take the stage to perform some of your favorite Top Hits from the 80’s through today! All live music will take place on the beach, just south of the Fisher Family Pier.

Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome; however, personal fireworks, glass containers, alcohol, personal drones and pets are prohibited. The Fisher Family Pier will be closed Monday, July 4 and will reopen regular hours on Tuesday, July 5.

Available parking is located at the end of Atlantic Blvd and A1A. Both street parking and the pier garage are also available. Starting at 8:45 p.m., eastbound vehicular traffic going on to the barrier island will be shut down for the duration of the fireworks show. They will reopen once the fireworks have ended. Pedestrians will still have access to walk across the bridge the entire day and night.
