‘Tis the Season for Holiday Magic in Pompano Beach!
The most wonderful time of the year is here, and Pompano Beach is ready to sparkle with holiday cheer! Twinkling lights, festive music, dazzling decorations, and the magic of the season are filling the air as our community comes together to celebrate. From cherished holiday traditions and spectacular light displays to festive shopping, joyful performances, and visits from Santa, there's something merry and bright for everyone! Our ‘Tis the Season holiday calendar is your guide to all the festive fun happening throughout Pompano Beach.
The holiday magic begins with a little gift-giving inspiration at the Holiday Handcrafts Bazaar on November 14 at 9:00 a.m., where more than 25 vendors will showcase one-of-a-kind handcrafted treasures perfect for everyone on your Christmas list. The spirit of the season then comes alive on stage with Black Nativity, running November 27–29. This powerful African-American retelling of the Nativity story, based on the acclaimed gospel song-play by Langston Hughes, celebrates the birth of Christ through magnificent African costumes, uplifting spirituals, and unforgettable performances.
As the holiday season unfolds, Pompano Beach will shine brighter than ever! The festive glow begins with Light Up MLK on November 28 at 5:00 p.m., bringing the MLK corridor to life with music, live entertainment, delicious food, and a magical ceremonial lighting. Then, get ready for one of the season's most beloved traditions as the Yuletide on Atlantic Parade spreads Christmas cheer along Atlantic Boulevard on December 3 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The merriment continues in Old Town with the Untapped Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 4 at 6:00 p.m. at 41 NE 1st Street, where the glow of the Christmas tree will add a little extra sparkle to the season. On December 6 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., the Palm Aire Gazebo will shine with the warmth and joy of Festival of Lights: A Hanukkah Celebration, honoring treasured traditions and the enduring message of hope and light.
And the holiday cheer doesn't stop there! December 12 is overflowing with festive fun from morning until night. Check off your Christmas shopping list at the Green Market Holiday Edition from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., where shopping local makes the season even sweeter. Little ones can experience the wonder of Christmas at Donuts with Santa from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Emma Lou Olson Civic Center, featuring delicious treats, an interactive holiday game show, and a special visit from the jolly man in red himself! Tickets are $7 per person and go on sale November 2. As evening falls, it's time to put on your most festive (or wonderfully outrageous!) holiday sweater for Deck the Halls, a free holiday dance for individuals ages 13 and up with developmental disabilities. The celebration takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Emma Lou Olson Civic Center and features an Ugly Sweater Contest that's sure to bring plenty of smiles and holiday laughter!
So gather your family and friends, embrace the spirit of the season, and make magical holiday memories right here in Pompano Beach. After all, there's no place like home for the holidays, and there's no place quite like Pompano Beach to celebrate!
