The McNab House is All Decked Out

The lovely holiday lights decorating The McNab House provide a glimpse of the beautiful site to come. The plans for the restaurant and botanical gardens are blossoming, and now you can participate in selecting elements for the gardens including possible plants and flowers, types of playground and social gathering options, event ideas, and more. A public input meeting is scheduled for December 6th at 6:00 p.m. at the Emma Lou Olson Civic Center, where Bermello, Ajamil and Partners (B&A) will host a dynamic presentation that will allow those in attendance to vote via their phone through a special app.

The Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) has accepted a proposal from executives from Mad Room Hospitality to design, revitalize, and operate the restaurant, wine bar, patio, and event space at the venue. Negotiations have commenced and we will keep you updated.

Mad Room Hospitality is the team behind renowned restaurant brands including Ball & Chain, Taquerias el Mexicano, Los Altos, and many more. In addition, the group was selected to renovate and reinvent the Mai Kai Restaurant and Polynesian Show after devastating water damage destroyed much of the iconic venue.

During the CRA Meeting on November 15th, Mad Room Hospitality showcased concepts for the restaurant which complement the architectural design of The McNab House, while bringing forth a coastal farmhouse style. The proposed menu will feature a modern twist on the farm-to-fork seasonal concept, while the Cellar at McNab House will emulate the allure of the 1920's era wine bar. The proposal also provided concepts for the patio courtyard and event space.
