Solar Power Seminar

If you’re longing to lower your electric bill and considering solar, there is an enlightening seminar coming up! Solar United Neighbors, a nonprofit (not a sales company), is launching the Broward County 2026 Solar, Battery & EV Charger Co-op, and you're invited to learn all about it at a free Solar 101 session on Tuesday, October 20 at 6 p.m. at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center.

The idea is simple and powerful. When neighbors join together, typically 50 to 100 strong, installers compete for the co-op’s business and often reward members with lower prices on equipment and workmanship, extended warranties, and other special promotions. Best of all, co-op members choose the installer themselves through a volunteer Selection Committee, while Solar United Neighbors stays vendor neutral and screens every bidder for a clean consumer protection record.

Joining is free with no commitment to go solar. Sign-ups open October 5 and run through the end of January. Once you join, you'll receive a free satellite review of your roof to see if it's a good fit, helpful email updates, and support from start to finish, even after installation.
