Police Enhances Safety
The City of Pompano Beach recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its state-of-the-art Broward Sheriff's Office substation located at 441 NW 27th Avenue in the Collier City neighborhood. This 2,750-square-foot facility broke ground in April 2024 at a cost of $2.1 million. This investment stands as a powerful testament to the City's unwavering dedication to its residents, particularly in an area that has faced challenges with unlawful activity.
The new police substation will provide immediate and localized access to law enforcement services, allowing deputies to be more responsive, visible, and integrated into the fabric of the community. This proximity is crucial for building relationships, understanding the unique needs of the neighborhood, and implementing targeted strategies to address crime and improve quality of life.
This substation clearly demonstrates the City’s commitment to ensuring every neighborhood is safer and more secure. As the doors of this new substation open, so too does a new chapter of enhanced public safety and strengthened community ties.
