We are excited to announce the next milestone in the development of our New Downtown. RocaPoint Partners (RP Pompano, LLC), the Master Developer for the Downtown Project, in partnership with the City of Pompano Beach and the Pompano Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) has issued a Request for Qualifications (a procurement document used to shortlist vendors based on their experience, expertise, and capabilities) to find a professional architect, highly experienced in community engagement, to help envision a new, larger, multipurpose E. Pat Larkins Community Center. Click to read the RFQ. RocaPoint Partners is obligated to take this next step as a requirement under the Master Development Agreement for the New Downtown.

As one of the cornerstones of the New Downtown, this building reflects the spirit of our community, honoring the past, while becoming an important asset for future generations. The selected architect will work hand-in-hand with the community, developer, City, and CRA to lead a dynamic and inclusive outreach process. We are eager to engage with residents and stakeholders to truly understand the community's needs, priorities, and aspirations. As we believe the best designs come from the people who use the facility, the architectural concepts will be shaped directly by community input.

As many are aware, the location of the new E. Pat Larkins Community Center hasn't been decided yet, making the site selection a vital part of this collaborative journey. This intentional, community-first approach ensures that the future of the new Community Center will reflect Pompano Beach’s character and long-term vision. We can't wait to see what we build together!
