Planning for the Future of our Parks
The Pompano Beach Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the update of its Parks and Recreation Master Plan, which aims to enhance recreational opportunities and community engagement for our residents. This comprehensive plan will guide the development and management of parks and recreational facilities over the next decade.
The Master Plan will be a culmination of a collaborative effort, incorporating resident voices captured through online surveys, public forums, and stakeholder dialogues scheduled for the coming months. Key priorities identified include:
- Accessibility Improvements: Ensuring parks and facilities are welcoming and accessible to all residents.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Incorporating eco-friendly practices and promoting environmental stewardship within our parks.
- Infrastructure Enhancements: Upgrading existing facilities and adding new amenities to meet community needs.
