Opportunity Grows in the New Downtown
The City of Pompano Beach, its CRA, RocaPoint Partners and Suffolk, the newly selected builder of the new City Hall and Parking Garage, hosted two very successful job fairs last month. Attendees arrived with resumes to share while learning more about the hiring process that Suffolk is establishing for the initial project in the New Downtown.
The interactive sessions provided local businesses, suppliers, trade contractors and construction professionals an opportunity to meet the project team, learn about Suffolk's procurement process, and gain insight into upcoming bid packages, trade prequalification and workforce opportunities.
Building on that commitment, Suffolk will host a follow-up networking event designed to connect subcontractors with local construction crews, helping them build strategic partnerships, navigate qualification requirements, including insurance, and position themselves for future contracting opportunities.
