Cost to build a parking lot

New Parking in Old Town

Old Town's booming popularity, driven by its vibrant events, thriving artist community, and diverse culinary scene, has created a clear demand for more parking. To meet this immediate need, the former pharmacy location and adjoining building will be demolished within the next two weeks to create a temporary asphalt milling-surface parking lot. These structures, though older, do not hold historic significance nor meet building code.

This interim solution will provide much-needed parking and is a cost-effective move, eliminating the City's current rental expenses for the local church's lot. Looking ahead, this site is earmarked for an exciting future development project, which will include new commercial and retail spaces. This will further enrich Old Town's dynamic Arts & Entertainment District and marks an exciting new chapter in its ongoing growth and revitalization.
