Mitchell Moore Park Scores Massive Makeover!

Mitchell Moore Park has landed a major win. The Orange Bowl Committee and the City of Pompano Beach have partnered on an approximate $4 million renovation for the facility. The championship transformation will include a new synthetic turf football field, an electronic scoreboard, a new press box, shaded seating, an enhanced walking trail and building refurbishments. The two existing baseball fields will also receive an upgrade.

The new football field will now be known as Orange Bowl Field at Mitchell Moore Park. This gift is part of the Orange Bowl Committee’s Legacy Parks program which has provided over $21.5 million worth of improvements to selected South Florida parks and recreational facilities.

Mitchell Moore is the sixth park chosen for this honor, which is a strong testament to the outstanding athletic programs in Pompano Beach, and the extraordinary talent that has emerged from our community.
