Let’s Celebrate Black History Month

Pompano Beach is observing Black History Month with an exciting calendar of events focused on art, music, and community storytelling. Through partnerships with local creators and organizations like the Tiger Trail Festival, the City provides many opportunities for residents and visitors to honor and celebrate African American history and its lasting and vital legacy.

Highlights include:

  • Brévo Theatre’s Freshly Rooted – New Works Series featuring playwright Bryan Keyth Wilson
  • BaCA Artist in Residence Exhibition: Uzumaki by Jed Lee Metayer
  • Present… In Place, Space and Time Music Series showcasing rare instruments
  • Ladies of Simone – a tribute to Nina Simone at the Cultural Center
  • Jazz Reflections with Nicole Yarling, plus a jazz jam at the Green Market
  • Night of Gospel at the Ali Cultural Center
  • Exquisite Food and Wine Festival
  • Tiger Trail Street Festival, featuring a parade, music, and family activities
