Leave Your Mark: A Call for Public Art Ideas
Whether you're an art aficionado, a casual admirer, or just someone who loves seeing cool stuff around town, we want your input on our art! The City of Pompano Beach is inviting all residents to special community engagement meetings to help shape the future of public art across the City.
The City's Public Art Program has already made significant strides in beautifying our hometown with stunning murals, iconic Pompano fish sculptures, and the beloved "Trail of the Honeybees" mosaics. Now, the City is looking forward by developing a new Public Art Master Plan—a comprehensive vision and roadmap for seamlessly integrating art into our parks, neighborhoods, and public facilities, ensuring the artwork reflects our community's unique values and character.
As part of this vital planning process, the City has partnered with Designing Local, a nationally recognized arts and culture planning firm. The consulting team will present an overview of their work and gather public input on strategies for incorporating art throughout Pompano Beach.
Two sessions will be held on November 5th, with an additional opportunity for public input during Old Town Untapped on November 7th. Light refreshments will be served at the community meetings.
