Coastal clean up pavilion sign pompano beach

Keep the Beach Beautiful!

It’s up to all of us to protect our slice of paradise, and here’s a terrific way to make an impact. The 40th International Coastal Cleanup will take place Saturday, September 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. In Pompano Beach, volunteers will be meeting at Pavilion #1 to help create a cleaner beach for everyone!

Last year, the International Coastal Cleanup in Broward County was a tremendous success, bringing together over 2,300 dedicated volunteers who collected nearly 3,100 pounds of trash. This remarkable effort is part of a global movement, sponsored by the Ocean Conservancy, that takes place in more than 122 countries with over one million volunteers participating worldwide. By joining this event, you're not just cleaning our local beach; you're contributing to a massive, international effort to protect our oceans and waterways.

To ensure a safe and productive day for everyone, please remember to register in advance. We recommend that volunteers dress appropriately for the weather, rain or shine, and bring essential items like a hat, gloves, sunscreen, and water.

For students seeking community service hours, independent cleanup efforts anywhere in the county will be accepted from September 1 to December 31.

Let's come together and make a positive impact on our community and our planet. For more information and to register, visit https://parks.pompanobeachfl.gov/events/coastal-clean-up.
