Join the Conversation: New Downtown Roundtable Events
After 30 years of careful planning, the implementation of our New Downtown is now underway! Your ideas are essential to this transformational project, so we encourage you to help shape our City’s bright future by attending one of our upcoming Roundtable Discussions.
Now’s the time to join the conversation! We're hosting these Roundtables to gather your input and perspectives, while also providing accurate information about the project and how it will affect you.
Pompano Beach’s dynamic new Downtown will open incredible opportunities for our residents and businesses, becoming a major economic engine for our City for generations to come. With an estimated value of $2 billion at build-out, this approximately 75-acre development, with nearly 9 acres of beautiful green space, will be an extraordinary asset for our community.
To facilitate this collaborative process, our series of Roundtable Discussions will be held March 17-24 at various locations throughout the City. Visit www.downtownpompanobeach.org/meetings for details!
These relaxed and friendly sessions offer a unique opportunity to learn about the project and engage directly with experts. Each Roundtable will begin with a project overview presentation, followed by facilitated small-group discussions at topic-specific tables. Residents are welcome to attend any of the scheduled sessions, as the format and content will be consistent across all locations, and light refreshments will be served.
We know you have questions. That’s why we designed these meetings. And all the hot topics will be discussed, including:
- Will my taxes be raised to pay for the project?
- What will the project consist of?
- What’s going to happen first?
- How much will a new City Hall cost?
- What are the economic benefits to me as a taxpayer?
- How can I participate/open a business/get involved?
We will also be gathering your ideas about the programing and future activities that will take place in the beautiful open spaces. We are creating an interactive engagement station so you can weigh in on the amenities and other elements you would like to see built.
Our City has a rare opportunity that most communities never see. We can transform vacant land that’s costing us money and attracting crime and transform it into a source of pride and economic growth. This project is for all of us. Take Your Seat at the Table.
