High-Flying Event Opens New Skatepark!
Flips, slides, and high-flying grinds took over Pompano Beach as City officials cut the ribbon on our brand-new, world-class skatepark! Celebrating a new era of local recreation, a lineup of top pros featuring world-renowned skateboarder Jamie Foy treated the crowd to an epic demo. The high-energy grand opening also featured a packed beginners’ clinic, local skate jams, live music, and a fleet of local food trucks.
Now that the park is officially open, it’s time for you to catch some air! But, if you think skateparks are only for seasoned pros, think again. This state-of-the-art facility was built from the ground up to be a safe, vibrant, and fully inclusive environment where everyone can find their groove. The park seamlessly blends street and transition elements to accommodate both skateboarders and inline skaters. It truly caters to all skill levels, welcoming everyone from youngsters balancing on their first scooter to local legends pulling off advanced tricks.
Next time you visit, make sure to check out the park’s signature feature—a custom Pompano fish sculpture. Skaters can launch up the ramp and grind right along the fish, a unique element you won’t find anywhere else in the world.
