City “Aces” Volleyball Tournament
Our City’s stunning stretch of shoreline proved to be the ultimate setting as it played host to the second annual Pompano Beach Volleyball Festival, highlighted by the thrilling Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour (BPT) Futures event that ran from December 4–7, 2025. USA Volleyball, in collaboration with the Florida Region of USA Volleyball, once again brought world-class competition to our beach, building on the success of the inaugural 2024 event. The four-day spectacle, which included a fierce qualifier on Thursday followed by three days of main draw action, was a free treat for fans who flocked to the beach to witness elite-level play up close.
Officials praised Pompano Beach as the perfect setting for such a major tournament. USA Volleyball's COO, Steve Bishop, emphasized that the City's beautiful beach helped to elevate the competition, creating unique opportunities for fans to experience this world-class talent right on the sand. Kurt Esser, executive director of the Florida Region, called the festival a "great success" and credited the unparalleled support from local partners and the sheer beauty of the location for making Pompano Beach one of the most vibrant beach volleyball communities in the country.
The festival served as more than just a professional showcase; it was a full-scale celebration of the sport. The BPT Futures provided a dynamic platform for seasoned players and rising stars to battle for crucial ranking points and international recognition, with the world watching every spike. Beyond the main draw, the sands saw inspiring athletic feats during the Pan American Zone Beach ParaVolley event. The future of the sport was also on full display, with junior athletes executing sharp passes and precise sets in both the U.S. Beach Club East Coast Championship and a decisive Beach National Qualifier (BNQ).
We can't wait to see the talent that will hit the sand when the nets go up for the third annual festival next year!
