On Saturday, February 25, 2022, the Pompano Beach Cultural Affairs Department will host the 3rd Annual Pompano Beach Black History Pioneer’s Ball. This event helps celebrate the Pioneers of the community. A Pioneer is a person or group that originates or helps open up a new line of thought or activity or a new method or technical development.
This year’s theme, “Making a Difference,” is dedicated to the contributions of African-American pioneers across five categories. Honorees will include frontline personnel, entrepreneurs, instructional/non-instructional personnel, community leaders and community-based organizations that have inspired and positively impacted the community.
The honoree program features a three course dinner, live band and an inspirational dance performance. Dinner will include a one-hour cocktail reception, a main course and dessert. Limited tickets are available.
